Wilbur, a 6-month-old French dog, has been elected as the new mayor of Rabbit Hash, Kentucky. The city has been electing a dog as mayor since the 1990s. US media NBC News reported this.
Amy Noland, Wilbur’s pastor and spokeswoman, said that no person or people in Rabbit Hash have ever been mayors. This practice was introduced in the late 1990s.
Noland stated that there was a man named Don Claire. He thought it would be great to elect an animal as the city’s mayor for the purpose of raising money for a society that studies history.
Only 500 people live in the city and the people here love dogs. The mindless rabbit is the first dog to be elected mayor in the rabbit hash. Since then, Sarme’s leadership has been welcomed into the city a total of five times.
Noland said he rescued the kittens and the dog and took them to a new shelter. In addition to the French dog Wilbur, they have two more pet dogs.
Noland accepted Wilbur four months ago.
