Berlin (dpa) – For the Formula 1 reporter Kai Ebel, there will be no place on the pay-TV channel Sky next season.
“We have once again strengthened our Formula 1 team with new expert Timo Glock and are therefore well prepared for the 2021 season,” a Sky spokesperson replied when asked about Ebel. The television journalist, who worked at RTL until the last race of the season, had previously not ruled out a switch to pay-TV broadcaster.
“Sometimes it changes so quickly,” said the 56-year-old reporter a few days ago about a possible move from RTL to Sky: “I’m not going to retire.” RTL shows a Formula 1 race for the last time after 30 years on Sunday because the free TV broadcaster has not signed a new contract. Sky has acquired the exclusive rights for Germany.
