Leipzig (dpa) – Due to the increase in coronavirus infections, the audience capacity for the match between RB Leipzig and Hertha BSC in the Bundesliga is limited as expected.

As the table leader announced, only 999 fans will be allowed into the Leipzig stadium on Saturday (3.30pm / Sky). The 8,500 tickets already sold will be canceled, the new tickets will be raffled among the previous buyers.

According to the Saxon Corona regulation, from a value of 20 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants, only major events with less than 1000 participants can be held within seven days. In Leipzig the value was 22.6 on Thursday. RB Leipzig allowed only 999 spectators in the Champions League against Istanbul Basaksehir on Tuesday.

Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann does not see a relegation candidate in Hertha BSC. “You have made very good investments. The spirit of optimism in Berlin is not unfounded. The junk is considerably better than three points,” Nagelsmann said. Hertha travels to the leader after three defeats from four games.

Leipzig faces several failures on the defensive. National player Lukas Klostermann will be absent for a few weeks after his knee surgery. Marcel Halstenberg will miss the match against Berlin for personal reasons. In addition, the quarantined Amadou Haidara and the long-wounded Konrad Laimer are missing. But Alexander Sörloth was able to attack his starting eleven.
