Paderborn (AP) – Second division football club SC Paderborn has its Nigerian national player Jamilu Collins travel to the national team, but not the Swedish goalkeeper Svante Ingelsen.
The Bundesliga relegation heralded this “differentiated decision”. The club is about the health and further use of the players, as well as their physical stress and interests, the club explained.
The SCP justified the other decision on the grounds that Collins had “played relatively little lately” due to a long-term injury, while Ingelsen had no break in the summer “because of the different seasons in Europe”. “We spoke to all concerned, taking into account the mandatory quarantine after returning from an international race trip, and then made a decision,” said sports director Fabian Wohlgemuth.
