Paris (AP) – Paris Saint-Germain celebrated their fourth win in the sixth match at the end of the Champions League preliminary round and secured the group victory over RB Leipzig.

The French soccer champions won the game against Basaksehir from Istanbul, which had been canceled the day before due to a racism incident, 5-1 (3-0). The excellent Neymar (21st, 38th, 50th) was the guarantee of success with three hits. Kylian Mbappe (42.) had scored the 3-0 with a converted penalty after a goal from Mitchell Bakker was previously denied for offside position after video assessment. In the second half, the striker rose to 5: 1 (62nd). Mehmet Topal scored for the Turks (57th).

By the direct comparison won with Leipzig (2: 1, 0: 1), Paris took the victory in group H for the Bundesliga club with the same number of points. The day before, Leipzig had qualified for the eighth finals with a 3-2 win against Manchester United. The English will continue to play third in the Europa League.

The game between PSG and Basaksehir was canceled on Tuesday night due to an incident of racism after the fourth official reportedly referred to Istanbul assistant coach Pierre Webo with what is known in Germany as the “N-word”. Both teams had left the field in protest.

During the warm-up, Webo, the players of both teams and the referees all wore white T-shirts with the logos of PSG and Basaksehir and the inscription “No to Racism” (No to Racism). Before kick-off, the players knelt around the center circle and raised their fists. The gesture is considered an anti-racism sign initiated by American football pro Colin Kaepernick.
