London (AP) – The two German national footballers Timo Werner and Kai Havertz have won the second victory of the season in the English Premier League with Chelsea.
The Blues beat Crystal Palace 4-0 (0-0). Ben Chilwell (50th), Kurt Zouma (66th) and twice Jorginho with a penalty kick (78th and 82nd) scored the victory. With seven points from four games, Chelsea keeps up with the top positions.
Newcomers Werner and Havertz were each used throughout the season, but the two attacking players have to wait for their first league goal. Havertz took the second penalty, which also safely converted Jorginho. Previously there had been problems with teammate Tammy Abraham, who also wanted to shoot.
Everton FC continued their perfect start to the season. The Liverpool club beat Brighton & Hove Albion 4-2 (2-1) and celebrated their fourth win in their fourth match. Former Bayern pro James Rodriguez scored twice for former Munich coach Carlo Ancelotti’s team. Everton is first in the league, but can be ousted by Leicester City and city rival Liverpool on Sunday.
However, at Manchester City, last year’s number two, the season has a mixed start. A week after the 5-2 defeat to Leicester City on Saturday, coach Pep Guardiola’s team failed to get past a 1-1 draw at Leeds United.
