Russian President Vladimir Putin has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize after US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. An association of authors, led by Russian writer Sergey Komkov, nominated Putin and referred him to the Nobel Committee for consideration. The case has been revealed in a report by the US media CBS News.
According to the candidates, Putin was far more active than Trump and Netanyahu to bring peace to the world. So they should be nominated for this award. Earlier in 2013, the President of Russia was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
In addition to Putin, the list includes US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Trump played a key role in resolving the long-running dispute between the United Arab Emirates and Israel. This is why the US president was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by Norwegian MP Christian Tibring GZD.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for his agreements with the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. He was named by Italian Northern League Party MP Paolo Grimoldi. He also hoped that Benjamin Netanyahu would jointly receive this year’s Nobel Peace Prize with Donald Trump of the United States for this historic work. Finland’s MPs also supported the proposal of Italian MPs submitted to the Nobel Committee.
Note that subject to certain conditions, anyone can nominate someone else for the Nobel Peace Prize and send their name to the Nobel Committee. So far 300 names have been nominated for the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize. The Nobel Committee will announce the names of this year’s Nobel laureates on 9 October.
