Qatar will receive the first consignment of the Pfizer-Bioentec Coronavirus vaccine on Monday (21 December). Prime Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani made the announcement on Twitter on Saturday. Qatar-based Al Jazeera reported.
A total of 142 people were detected from coronovirus in Qatar on Saturday. As a result, the total number of infected people in the country has increased to 1 lakh 41 thousand 756. 243 people died of coronary heart disease in Qatar. Out of total infected 1 lakh 39 thousand 521 people have been recovered.
Qatari Prime Minister wrote on Twitter on Saturday that the first consignment of Corona vaccine will come tomorrow (Monday) on Amir’s instructions. I have directed the health sector to vaccinate all as per our health standards.
“This is an important step to bring the epidemic under control and return to normal life,” he said.
However, it is not yet clear when the Corona vaccine will be introduced, Al Jazeera reported.
Earlier last week, the Advisor to the Minister of Public Health, Abdul Wahab al-Musleh, said that the first phase of the Pfizer-Bioentech vaccine would be available to the elderly and people with chronic diseases.
