Milot Rashica was actually supposed to move from Werder Bremen to Bayer Leverkusen – but the deal didn’t materialize. According to sports director Rudi Völler from Leverkusen, the loan has failed because of the purchase option.
The move of attacker Milot Rashica from Werder Bremen to Bayer Leverkusen failed on Monday evening in the last minutes of the transfer period. A lease between the two clubs was no longer possible. “There were difficulties with the buy option,” said Leverkusen sports director Rudi Völler of the “kicker”. “Bremen and we had other ideas. In the end there was no longer enough time for an agreement.”
This summer, Rashica was always the first sales candidate for the Bremen company. RB Leipzig and English Premier League club Aston Villa were interested in the 24-year-old attacking player. Now he will stay with Werder at least until January.
