It is not yet clear what will become of David Alaba, but FC Bayern Munich is already working on its future selection behind the scenes. The record champions now apparently want to tie some players for the long term.

FC Bayern Munich is apparently planning with national player Leon Goretzka in the future. As reported by “Sport Bild”, the 25-year-old’s contract is being extended early. The midfielder still has a contract until 2022. Goretzka cannot be the only player who wants to keep Bayern in the long term.
“We have an excellent team with a very good mix of young, very talented and experienced, excellent players, and of course we want to keep this team together for the long term,” President Herbert Hainer told “Sport Bild”.
Kimmich the future captain
That is why Joshua Kimmich must also be spoken to. His contract runs until 2023, but the Munich side have big plans for the national player. “I am convinced that Joshua Kimmich will one day be our captain. He embodies that on and off the field, as he has now proven again,” Rummenigge said of “Sport Bild” in May.
Kimmich is currently injured for Bayern and the national team. The defender sustained a meniscus injury in the match at Borussia Dortmund (3: 2) on Saturday. Leon Goretzka will not participate in the test match of the DFB-Elf against the Czech Republic on Wednesday (20:45 in the live ticker on Chillreport). The Bayern player, like seven other regular customers, will not travel to the national team until Thursday – for the Nations League games against Ukraine and Spain.
