Munich (dpa) – After his recently failed move to Leeds United, Mickaël Cuisance now appears to be leaving Bayern Munich, shortly before the end of the transfer deadline for France.
According to Sky information, the 21-year-old midfielder would take the medical examination at Olympique Marseille on Monday. Accordingly, in the summer of 2021, the Munich-based company entered into a loan agreement with the French premier, including a purchase option.
Last week Cuisance fell through medical scrutiny when Premier League promoted Leeds, and the planned move backfired. There was talk of a transfer fee of approximately 20 million euros. At first nothing was known about the exact terms of the proposed deal with Marseille.
The Munich had committed Cuisance to Borussia Mönchengladbach in the summer of 2019 for a transfer fee reportedly around ten million euros. The Frenchman signed a contract until the summer of 2024. Since then Cuisance has not progressed beyond additional player status and has been repeatedly associated with clubs from his home country. In the 4: 3 against Hertha BSC on Sunday, Cuisance was missing from the selection of the German football champions.
