Widely known as ‘seditious factor’ in Indian history, it is a collusion of power-hungry Indians with foreign and domestic forces against the rulers. Sadly, it is still at the highest level of politics. Most historians initially blamed the Mughals for bringing such self-destructive tendencies to the subcontinent. An example of this is Siraj-ud-Daula’s betrayal of Jaffer, the Nawab of Bengal by his famous minister Mir Jafar, who joined hands with Robert Clive in 1757 and handed over Bengal to the British. Even the superpower Aurangzeb could not conquer the Shia empire of Golconda after 20 years of effort, until he brought the local official Abdullah Pani to his side in 18.
Of course, this trend cannot be said to have started after the arrival of the Mughals. Even before Babur’s arrival, the Afghan ruler Mohammad Gauri defeated Prithviraj Chauhan in 1192. Ghouri was defeated last year. But Prithviraj did not allow him to return to Afghanistan on the condition that he return. But the situation changed in 1192 when Prithviraj’s father-in-law Kannauj collaborated with King Jayachandra Ghuri. Joychandra was very angry with Prithviraj. Many feel that India had to pay the price for Joyachandra.
Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was criticized for maintaining close ties with Hitler and the Government of Japan during the armed struggle against the British during World War II. At the time, Indian Prime Ministerial candidate Jawaharlal Nehru threatened that if Bose entered British India with the Japanese army, they would fight with the sword. However, later, Nehru changed his position. Especially given Netaji’s popularity for independent India. But in the late 1950s, Netaji was described as a Japanese-backed traitor.
Now former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and National Conference leader M.P. Farooq Abdullah threw stones at the bee’s house. He called for China’s cooperation to roll back Article 370 of his state law.
On August 5 last year, Article 370 of the Indian Constitution was repealed, denying Kashmir the right to autonomy. Unprecedented security was taken in the vicinity of that decision. Hundreds of political leaders were detained. Farooq Abdullah was arrested from home after seven months.
September 24 on a news channel. Abdullah announced that he hoped that with the cooperation of China, Section 370 and the previous status of Jammu and Kashmir would be restored. He made this remark at a press conference. Under his leadership, six political parties and local groups formed alliances. They have united to restore Section 370.
Dr. Abdullah said that if anyone goes to Kashmir and asks the locals, Kashmiris will openly declare that they are not Indians. It is better that we join with China.
Feedback from the ruling BJP and national media was expected. At the administrative level, the Central Enforcement Directorate (ED) has resumed its investigation into an old corruption charge against him. The ED’s investigation proves the opposition’s allegations against the ruling BJP. The government investigative agency is being used to harass and pressure opposition leaders.
A sedition case was filed against Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath against BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh Abdullah.
BJP’s national spokesperson at the political level. The letter described Abdullah’s comments about China as “anti-national and anti-national”. He said, it is sad and worrying for India. Retired Major Gaurav Aria, well-known political analyst in a television program, abd Dr. Why did Abdullah not go to China? If he identifies himself then he can be arrested there. ”Major Gourab pointed to the treatment of Uighur Muslims in Xinjiang, China.
The veteran politician said. The timing of Abdullah’s comment is also important. Seen as one, his remarks are bold, he is not afraid of being arrested on charges of treason. He was speaking at a time when India-India relations were at their worst since 1972. The armies of the two countries are facing each other along the border in the Himalayas. Many skirmishes have resulted in casualties and bloodshed. But both countries have carefully avoided mass violence.
A more staunch right-wing analyst says Abdullah has deliberately chosen his words. So that the most embarrassing situation can arise for India. If he is arrested again, it will not be the exclusive right of Jammu and Kashmir, it will create his own eroded political image, honor and importance in politics. If fate is kind, it can become a political demand for the people of the state. It seems that people have accepted the repeal of Section 370 from August 5 last year without any major opposition.
One consequence of Dr. Abdullah’s position may be unintentional: it has made it politically difficult for secular parties and groups and the media to gain support in India. There is apparently no way to justify his comments. This remark is nothing more than an open call of India’s most formidable enemy. India was very close to war with that country. His remarks reduced the cautious scope for the support of leftist and secular forces. They can now indicate perceived desperation over their negligence and loss of acceptance of the national party to the smaller party. But as mentioned earlier, time has made it very difficult to support or approve him.
Opposition groups called for a boycott of the assembly. Indian National Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad to former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir is no exception. Reaction in media, especially excluding China issue. He called for immediate restoration of special rights in Jammu and Kashmir.
Charubrata Roy, a left-wing analyst in Kolkata, said Roy. I did not see Abdullah’s statement. Consequently, I will not comment on what he said. Let us not forget that the sudden decision of the BJP government to repeal Sections 3 and 35 did not help Jammu and Kashmir. Who is the policy maker of India. Many, including Bhimrao Ambedkar, are the result of lengthy serious discussions and decisions. Perhaps the central government deserves negative criticism at home and abroad. ‘
In comparison, Farooq’s son and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah was more cautious and balanced. He says the father’s comments have been misrepresented. There is nothing extreme in what has been said.
Omar said that Farooq in his speech highlighted what the common people of Kashmir say about their citizenship.
Ironically, most people, who had gone to Kashmir from Calcutta in the past and recently agreed with Omar.
