The Afghan capital, Kabul, has been affected by a series of rocket attacks. French news agency AFP quoted official sources as saying that the two rockets hit the airport area. One person was killed and several others were injured in the attack on Saturday morning.
A statement from the Afghan Interior Ministry said this was the second such attack in Kabul in less than a month. Interior Ministry spokesman Tariq Aryan told reporters that four rockets were fired from the Lab Jar area near Kabul. He said two rockets hit near Kabul Airport.
Earlier in November, a series of rocket attacks in Kabul killed at least six civilians and injured dozens more.
Earlier this month, gunmen stormed the Kabul University campus. At least 35 people were killed in the attack. Most of them were students. More than 50 others were injured in the attack.
