Berlin (AP) – Former Formula 1 World Champion Nico Rosberg sees positive changes in major motorsport series.
“Formula 1 is in full swing, and the fact that Lewis Hamilton is at the forefront as a radiant figure in this sport gives it even more momentum,” said Rosberg of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung. “He’s also campaigning against climate change, he’s actually kind of walking in my footsteps on this road to sustainability.”
The 35-year-old said: “Everything in our lives should be much more based on value: sports, business, that is also my claim as an entrepreneur.” The son of former Formula 1 driver Keke Rosberg became world champion in 2016 ahead of his Mercedes teammate Hamilton, who won his seventh title this year. After this success, Rosberg ended his career.
