Istanbul (AP) – Istanbul co-coach Pierre Webo Basaksehir has spoken out publicly after the canceled Champions League game in Paris Saint-Germain, speaking of an “important and difficult” moment.

The fourth official said “what everyone could hear on television,” the former Cameroonian national player said on the return of the Turkish football champion to Istanbul.

On Tuesday, both teams left the field in Paris in protest because the assistant referee allegedly referred to the resident of Istanbul with what is known in Germany as the “N-word”. The fourth officer has “exceeded the limits,” Webo said. The game was canceled and played to the end on Wednesday. PSG won 5-1 and secured the group victory over RB Leipzig.
