Abu Dhabi (AP) – Mick Schumacher started his Formula 1 career with an 18th place finish in first practice at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

The 21-year-old drove the car of the American racing team Haas in 1: 41.235 minutes around the track in the United Arab Emirates and was 3,857 seconds behind the fastest Max Verstappen in the Red Bull. Schumacher drove a total of 23 laps without incident, ahead of teammates Pietro Fittipaldi.
