Hamburg (dpa) – HSV idol Uwe Seeler has advised the Hamburg second division team to quickly extend the contract with striker Simon Terodde.
“I hope HSV is smart and secures it in time. As with all good players, you have to take care of them”, the 83-year-old said in the “Sport Bild”.
Terodde’s eight goals in the first six games of the leaders of the second division also convinced the honorary captain of the German national team and honorary citizen of the Hanseatic city, who will celebrate his 84th birthday on Thursday. However, the 32-year-old attacker’s contract expires at the end of the season.
“It’s important that you keep the team. And not that you get promoted and then lose,” said Seeler, advertising a longer contract with the new acquisition of 1. FC Köln.
