Mainz (dpa) – In the dispute between striker Adam Szalai and FSV Mainz 05, the two sides will meet on October 8 at the labor court in Mainz.
The chamber appointment confirmed the authority of the German news agency, the hearing is scheduled for 11 a.m. Szalai was banned from the Bundesliga club’s first team, which led to a training attack from his teammates, and is complaining of a return to team training. As a result, coach Achim Beierlorzer was on leave on Monday two days after the 1: 4 against VfB Stuttgart.
Szalai had scored in the DFB Cup for the Rheinhessen, but then flew out of the squad for sporting reasons, as the club said, and will now train with the U23. Markus Schütz, as the Hungarian national player’s 32-year-old lawyer, announced to “Bild”: “On Sunday, we submitted a request from Mainz that Adam Szalai rejoin the training team immediately.”
The club recommended a move to Szalai. “Adam is not looking for a new club. He wants and stays in Mainz,” his advisor Oliver Fischer announced last week. Szalai has played for Mainz again since last year, after having played in the 05ers between 2010 and 2013.
