Berlin (dpa / tmn) – Just press the shutter button. The machine will fix it. Usually it does with the smartphone – but not always.

Anyone who notices that the image motif is completely surpassed by brightness or “drowns” in the dark, must tap the motif again briefly with your finger. The camera will then refocus and measure the exposure again. If that doesn’t work, the exposure will need to be manually corrected.

Some smartphones allow you to tap directly on a sun or a plus-minus symbol that appears in the image. Otherwise, you will have to switch to expert or professional mode through the camera app’s settings. The controller for the exposure setting can usually be recognized by the abbreviation EV for Exposure Value.
