The number of corona cases in South Africa has crossed five million

In South Africa, 10,106 new cases of corona were identified on Saturday (1 August). As a result, the number of coronavirus cases in the country has crossed five lakh. The BBC quoted the South African Ministry of Health as saying.

South Africa accounts for half of all corona cases identified on the African continent. South Africa is the fifth most affected country in the world. It is followed by the United States, Brazil, Russia and India. The Health Ministry of South Africa said on Saturday (August 1) that there have been 53,290 people in the country. 6 thousand 153 people have died.

The South African government issued a lockdown in April and May following an outbreak of the Corona virus. The infection was then seen to decrease. However, the lockout in the country has already been relaxed.

South African health officials have warned that the number of coronaviruses in the country is increasing. The capital Pretoria has recently seen more infections. However, one-third of the country’s total victims are in Gauteng.
