In the Aachen area, police officers had their hands full: 15 cows had to be arrested at various places in the village. An animal was being chased by a patrol car.
They were standing in front of the town hall, a cinema and on the street in the middle of the night: police and fire brigade recaptured 15 free-roaming cows in Alsdorf near Aachen. The animals were picked up in front of a supermarket on Thursday evening, police said. Another cow was located by a patrol car.
Until the farmer arrived, the animals were held in the supermarket with firing lines and a patrol car in an improvised pen. The farmer eventually took the cows away with a trailer. The mission was over in about two hours.
