In Hanover, a witness saw a waving man get into a car and drive away. Police found the driver shortly afterward and ran an alcohol test – with glaring results.
The police in Hanover removed a drunk driver with a breath alcohol percentage of five per thousand from the traffic. The 38-year-old was spotted by a witness in the Marienwerder district because of his driving style, officials in the capital of Lower Saxony announced. He was therefore watched as he staggered to his car and drove away.
The police were able to find the man. A breath alcohol test yielded five in a thousand, after which a blood sample was ordered. The car key and driver’s license were confiscated. In addition, criminal proceedings have been started for drunk driving.
