The police stop motorists with 3.29 per mille

In Rhineland-Palatinate, a motorist was arrested by more than three in a thousand. The man had to escort the police officers to the station and turn in his driver’s license.

A 61-year-old man drove a car in the Bad Dürkheim district with 3.29 per mille. He was revealed in a minor accident, police said. The officers were called to an accident scene in Haßloch on Monday because the 61-year-old had damaged the wing mirror of another vehicle with his car.

The officers quickly realized something was wrong and did an alcohol test on the person who caused the accident. The test showed a value of 3.29 per thousand. The 61-year-old was taken to an office where blood was drawn.

He now has to answer in a criminal case for endangering road traffic. According to the police, his driver’s license is temporarily gone.
