Stuttgart (AP) – Fullback Clinton Mola of the Bundesliga football club VfB Stuttgart is at risk of being out for several weeks, possibly even months, due to his persistent hip problems.
“That remains difficult to predict. It is a similar case to the bone edema in Borna Sosa last season,” said sports director Sven Mislintat of the German news agency. “If there’s a quick improvement, Clinton could be back in three or four weeks. If it’s slow, we might miss him in January. It’s ungrateful for him to train individually with no clear timing.”
The 19-year-old Englishman had not traveled to the training camp in Kitzbühel in August because of his physical complaints. He has been completing a rehabilitation program for several weeks. In the plans of the Stuttgart, which will start in the league against Freiburg on Saturday, he was firmly scheduled for the new season on the left.
