A man has been fined 100,000 Taiwan dollars for breaking a quarantine for just six seconds. This amount is three lakh 316 rupees in Bangladeshi currency. The case has been confirmed by the local health department. CNN quoted Taiwan’s state media in a report.
The convict is a migrant worker from the Philippines. He was kept in quarantine at a hotel in Quangung City. However, he briefly moved from his hotel room to the hallway.
When the incident was captured on CCTV cameras, the hotel authorities informed the health department. He was later fined by the Health Department.
