Title fights in Plouay – Rad EM: German mixed relay keep gold

Plouay (dpa) – Germany won the gold medal in the mixed relay at the end of the European Road Cycling Championships in France.

Lisa Brennauer, Mieke Kröger, Lisa Klein, Miguel Heidemann, Justin Wolf and Michel Hessmann won on Friday in Plouay after 54.6 kilometers with a lead of 26 seconds on the Swiss team. Italy finished third, 2:35 minutes behind. However, only six teams were at the start.

In the juniors on the road, top talent Marco Brenner had just missed a medal in fourth place. It won the sprint of the Dane Kasper Andersen.
