Tour de France: after a walk

On the fifth part of the tour, the drivers had a long and enjoyable day. The field rolled on at a steady pace. The last kilometers went really well.

Belgian professional cyclist Wout van Aert won the fifth stage of the 107th Tour de France. After 183 km between Gap in the Maritime Alps and Privas in the Ardeche, the 25-year-old triumphed in the bunch sprint ahead of the Dutchman Cees Bol (Sunweb).

He gave the Jumbo-Visma team the next victory a day after the success of Primoz Roglic on the first mountain slope. Third place went to Irishman Sam Bennett (Deceuninck-Quick Step).
