Hamburg (AP) – Second division football club FC St. Pauli has signed midfielder Lukas Daschner from third division club MSV Duisburg. The 21-year-old will receive a contract with the Hamburgers until June 30, 2023, the club announced. The parties have agreed not to disclose the amount of the transfer fee.
Daschner has been playing in Duisburg since 2013, initially with the youngsters, and since 2017 with the pros. Last season, he made 38 competitive appearances. He scored twelve goals. “We want to develop significantly more goal risks from midfield next season, and that is exactly what Lukas entails,” said national coach Timo Schultz.
Hannover 96 signed Japanese international Sei Muroya. The 26-year-old wing defender comes over from FC Tokyo and signed a three-year contract, Lower Saxony announced. “Sei Muroya is a tech-savvy, fast, two-legged fullback who hits good crosses. He has a great mentality and is very strong. Sei Muroya can play both right back and left back – he’s an absolute added value for our team,” said the sports director of Hanover, Gerhard Zuber.
