Frankfurt / Main (dpa) – With his dream goal in Frankfurt, Andrej Kramaric once again made the very best advertisement for himself. Right before the end of the transfer window, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim is stunned every week by their constantly snarling “difference player” (Alexander Rosen).
But the impressive six-goal streak in just three Bundesliga games also arouses longings – especially among long-term champions FC Bayern. “I don’t think Andrej will stay,” said trainer Sebastian Hoeneß on Saturday after the 1: 2 at Eintracht Frankfurt, who could not prevent Croatian vice world champion Kramaric with his beautiful opening goal. That’s why he didn’t have “sleepless nights,” Hoeneß added. Sports director Rosen said he was confident that Kramaric could be kept this season.
Just 48 hours before the transfer deadline, these statements were rather thin. Rosen did not want to disclose the permanent residence of the 29-year-old Croat. The Münchener, meanwhile, could ideally use a versatile top striker like Kramaric, the point of contention so far seems to be the possible transfer. Coach Hoeneß recently said the Croat was “on his way to legendary status” – this prediction could already be history on Monday.
