Trump offered to mediate Sino-Indian dispute

US President Donald Trump has offered to mediate the Sino-Indian dispute. He said that the United States was ready to resolve the dispute between India and China over the mountainous border running between the Western Himalayas. Negotiations have been held with both sides to resolve the tension. Trump made the remark while speaking to reporters on Friday. According to a report by the UK-based news agency Reuters.

Trump described the situation between the two countries as “very bad”. He said that most people do not realize what level the situation has reached.

A US government source in Washington told Reuters that the US government was assessing that neither China nor India wanted to escalate the conflict between them.

This is not the first time Trump has offered to mediate the Sino-Indian conflict. He offered this in a post on Twitter in late March. “We have informed both India and China that the US is ready, able and willing to mediate the growing border dispute between them,” Trump wrote. Thank you! But in the end, neither Delhi nor Beijing agreed to his proposal.
