With two wins from two games, HSV got off to a good start in the second division season. The third victory should come against Aue. But less than 24 hours before kick-off, there is bad news.
After two positive corona cases at second division Erzgebirge Aue, the match that was scheduled on Sunday at Hamburger SV is canceled. “The PCR test conducted this morning resulted in two new positive tests. On behalf of the health department, the FC Erzgebirge Aue team will immediately travel back to the Erzgebirge and be quarantined as a precaution,” Aue announced late Saturday evening via Twitter. The association was initially not available for further comment.
Moments later, HSV announced that the game would be canceled definitively. “For HSV, this means that instead of the point match, a training session will take place on Sunday at 10.30 am,” said a statement.
