William Barr has long been a loyal companion of Donald Trump. But now apparently he has enough: in the middle of the dispute over the election results in the US, the Attorney General resigns.

In the midst of the dispute over the US election results, US Attorney General William Barr resigned from incumbent President Donald Trump.

In a letter from Trump published on Twitter Monday evening (local time), Barr said he would leave office on Dec. 23.
