Philadelphia (AP) – German football pro Kai Wagner has won the title at the Eastern Conference of Major League Soccer with Philadelphia Union and is heading into the playoffs with confidence.

There was a 2-0 against New England Revolution on the last day of the main round on Sunday. It is not yet clear who the team led by Wagner from Ulm will meet in the first round of the play-offs.

There may be a duel with FC Inter Miami. Co-owner David Beckham’s club saved themselves in tenth place with a 2-1 win against FC Cincinnati, thus securing the chance for the play-offs in their debut season. In addition, the team must win on November 20 after the international break against SC Nashville for Berlin-based Hany Mukhtar. For the team from Tennessee, which finished the season in seventh place, it is also the first season in the MLS.

In the Western Conference, the title went to Sporting Kansas City in the main round, which scored 39 points after a 2-0 win over Real Salt Lake, like the Seattle Sounders and Portland Timbers. Kansas City now faces the San Jose Earthquakes in the first playoff round with German center-back Florian Jungwirth.
