Wayne Rooney was a Champions League winner, top scorer and international. His most successful time was with Manchester United. Now his son Kai is following his path.
The son of former England international Wayne Rooney follows in the footsteps of his famous father. 11-year-old Kai signed a contract with Manchester United, the former club of the former star striker.
“Proud day,” Rooney Senior wrote on Instagram on Thursday under a photo of Kai, the eldest of his four sons, as he signed the contract: “Kai signs with Manchester United. Keep it up, son.”
Rooney came over from Everton as a teenager in 2004 and played for the English top club for 13 years. In 559 games, he scored 253 goals and was crowned the top scorer.
