Würzburg, which reached the 2nd Bundesliga on the last match day, started the new season with two losses against Aue (0: 3) and Düsseldorf (0: 1). After analyzing the ‘preparation of the previous season’ and the two defeats in the first two games, the club had also come to the belief that ‘the great goal of relegation – to which everything must be subordinate – can only be successfully pursued with a relaunch it in a message on Tuesday.
Schiele’s successor is already certain: Marco Antwerp. The 48-year-old was also promoted to the second division at Eintracht Braunschweig this summer, but his contract was not renewed. He has to stay in Würzburg until 2022.
